Rainy wedding Days

7/8/2023

Be ready to learn that having rain on your wedding day is lucky...

Rain on your wedding day may bring you health, fortune, fertility, or a happy marriage, depending on your culture. The likelihood is that your guests will have heard about this, so if the skies do open, they will let you know. A lot. From the first few visitors, it's lovely; by visitor 15, it could be grating. Just keep in mind that they're merely bringing it up to make you feel better about the weather, whether or not you believe in the superstition. Actually, you don't need to be cheered up because your rainy wedding is going to be fantastic.
Consult your venue.

Speeches

7/9/2022

The easiest method to keep the audience interested and everyone calm and pleased is with humorous wedding speeches. Even though writing the ideal variation can be difficult, the effort is always worthwhile in the end. With these examples of hilarious and amusing wedding speeches as well as the advice you need to write your own, you can make your audience smile.

A wedding speech ought to be brief. The sweet spot for wedding speeches is anything from three to five minutes. It shouldn't be so long that the audience becomes bored or too short that they entirely miss it. The best wedding speeches are able to strike that balance between length and content, and they are repeatedly trimmed until they contain only the most crucial phrases.

Choose your target and construct your premise around them. Funny wedding speeches can focus on the strict father, the sweet daughter, or the straight-faced groom. The goal is to keep the humour affectionate while also leaving heart-warming tributes at the end.
Write down everything that comes to mind when you think about your goal. It could be their musical tastes, favourite foods, distinguishing characteristics, odd dress sense, or obsession.

Why I love photographing weddings

14/7/2022

I appreciate being able to shoot practically all types of photography. Portraits, close-ups, macro, still life, reportage, action, and more are all available at weddings. Everything is covered, including quick glimpses, staged pictures, and close-ups of the cake and tables. This means that you may add a lot of strings to your photographic bow and keep refining it.

People exhibit traits at weddings that you never see in daily life. a degree of vulnerability and openness. Only on this one day will you publicly express how you feel about your lover; we usually keep our relationships to ourselves. One of the most courageous things I can imagine is to allow oneself to be vulnerable. being so highly charged emotionally that you are unable to
control your behaviour

A shoot director is always in charge of photographing still life and merchandise. Their responsibility is to uphold the brand's identity and convey its ideals through pictures. With wedding photography, you have the freedom to create your own style and record the event as you see fit. In the end, you give a product to a business client. You offer a wedding customer much more than that. When working with wedding customers, you develop an emotional bond with them to the point that you feel like you've known them forever.

I’m a big old softy at heart, it's simple for me to become invested in other couples when I see how much they care for one another. On this special day, family and friends as well as the newlyweds feel love..

How wedding images are selected

Continuing my previous post on the cost of wedding photography and how I price it, it's time to consider the selection of images.

There are a number of things that contribute to the edited image, but. It is always true, regardless of the type of work, that not all images are altered. How is that? If I tell you and explain you will understand why.

When I got home from the wedding, I downloaded everything to my computer plus the hard drive. When finished, I go through all the images, removing the ones that don't fit, are a bit blurry, or aren't good enough.

During an all-day wedding, I usually take between 800 and 1200 photos of the wedding, perhaps if the weather is nice and the reception is outdoors. That number will include all group photos. For each group I shoot, I take at least 4 shots, to allow anyone to blink or look away from the camera, which is often the case.

Once complete, it can take up to a week to edit the wedding images to a standard I'm happy with, but photographing some of the most beautiful locations in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Essex is a real pleasure.

How much do wedding photographers cost in Cambridgeshire?

27/6/2022

Wedding photographers cambridgeshire

.Wedding photography is not a small expense and choosing the right one of your special day is one of the most important decisions that you’ll make. Your wedding photos are memories to treasure forever and you want them to be the best they can be and exactly what you dreamed of. Choosing a wedding photographer in Cambridgeshire is something that I am sure you are researching widely and the cost may be a factor in your decision. I’ve put a handy list of things to consider when picking your photographer.

1. Does the wedding photographer do a pre-wedding engagement shoot?
Ever thought of having a pre-wedding engagement shoot? This is something that’s becoming more and more popular. It’s a fantastic way to get to know your wedding photographer and also for them to get to know you. Not only will you have photos to treasure, but you can provide valuable feedback to your wedding photographer so they know what you like and don’t like. This better prepares all of you for the big day and means you’re more likely to get exactly the right kind of photos. You want to feel relaxed and comfortable with your wedding photographer, so this pre-wedding shoot can “break the ice” and put you at ease. You’ll have enough nerves on your wedding day, so this is one less thing to worry about! Lots of couples tell me that they enjoy sharing their engagement photos before the big day with friends and family, and it’s nice to have some “different” photos of you together. I offer a pre-wedding engagement shoot on my top tier package, and I am finding more couples than ever are choosing this option.

2. Look for the style you like.
What kind of photos do you like? Natural, candid, vintage, quirky, modern….there are so many different styles and the beauty of photography is that it’s subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say, so you simply have to like the style of the photographer you work with. A good place to start is on social media – follow their wedding page on Facebook and follow them on Instagram to see what sort of photos they produce. You could search for “wedding photographers Cambridgeshire” to find a few you like the look of. Most wedding photographers do share their work on a regular basis (I certainly do) so you can get a feel for their style. I think this one is all about gut instinct, and you will know what you like when you see it.

3. Find someone within in your budget.
Of course cost does play a part in most people’s decision. I totally understand that if you’re working to a budget, then this is important, but equally it’s not worth trying to find the cheapest photographer you can find – someone offering their work for next to nothing may not produce the best wedding photos or offer you the service you deserve. I try to keep my prices fair and reasonable, whilst being able to earn my living at the same time. There are photographers priced at either end of the scale of course, and only you know what you’re willing to spend. Do consider that these photos will last you a lifetime and sometimes skimping on this expense could be a huge regret in the future.

 4. Choose someone you feel a connection with.
I feel this is one of the most important things to consider.  You’ve GOT to pick a wedding photographer that you feel comfortable with and get along with. You’re going to have to interact with your wedding photographer so much throughout the day, you’ve got to have a connection and find them easy to deal with. They should also be someone that will fit in well on the big day and be able to “boss your guests around” from time to time if needed!

5. Make sure they have insurance for the wedding venue if required.
All good wedding photographers in Cambridgeshire (and elsewhere!) should be fully insured. This is more of a boring, practical consideration but it’s extremely important. Many wedding venues will also insist on the right insurance being in place (which of course I do).
